Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Launch Day Was The Most Successful In Digital Sales For Activision

If you were a non-believer, thinking that the Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Launch Day will be disappointing or that the game won’t stand tall to the expectations? You were mistaken. The game is already having its glory days, with top spots on Twitch along with a radiant sales opening.

Activision reveals that the Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 launch day was the best in digital sales

According to the publisher of Black Ops 4, it has managed to surpass the sales record that WW2 set last year. Of course, that stands for digital sales. It is only natural given the promotional pre-order campaign for the game on all platforms.

Treyarch plans on increasing Black Ops 4's Blackout FPS.

Eurogamer has reported that in UK, Black Ops 4 has seen shown a 50% decrease in physical copies sold over WWII and a 59% decrease over Black Ops 3. This is probably due to the Season Pass policy for the game this year. It’s probably the reason that made fans choose its digital version over the classic retail. Rob Kostich, EVP and GM of Call of Duty has stated in a press release post today:

“Black Ops 4 is an incredible game, and the community’s response to it has been amazing. We have shattered multiple digital day one sales records, and the number of people who connected online on day one to play has grown year on year.

But probably the most important thing is that the community is having so much fun across Multiplayer, Zombies and Blackout. We are so incredibly thankful for the community’s trust and support. This is just the beginning, it’s going to be an incredible journey with Black Ops 4.”

As you can see, we’ve seen limited retail sales for the new Call of Duty.  That doesn’t mean the game is failing though. The Black Ops 4 launch day is as successful as it could be with such competition out there, bringing the best in the franchise along with a mode that can keep players hooked in its gameplay for months.
