Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Zombies “Tag der Toten” Trailer Released

After teasing upcoming news for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Zombies, Treyarch has officially released a trailer for “Tag der Toten”; the final entry in their ongoing Black Ops 4 Zombies series. Concluding the Aether storyline, Tag der Toten is coming in just a few days’ time. The post-launch content release will be available from the 23rd of September; the same day that the second Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Beta comes to an end.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Zombies – “Tag der Toten”

Tag der Toten is included in the upcoming Operation Dark Divide update, which is bringing a lot of additional content to the game on the 23rd. However, the Zombies part of that is specifically a new map which will continue the ongoing Aether Zombies storyline. It will also include a general update for the Zombies game mode, fixing bugs and making improvements. These include boosting the ammo of the M16, for example, and improving the Hellhound’s spawning.

Other than that, Treyarch hasn’t revealed much more about what Tag der Toten will be like in-game. More details may come over the weekend. However, with the Modern Warfare Beta taking place, it’s also possible that Treyarch may simply let players discover the new map for themselves when it launches on Monday. Indeed, it’s likely no accident that Operation Dark Divide launches on the 23rd; the day that the Modern Warfare Beta ends. The launch timing gives Call of Duty fans a major new content release to jump into as soon as the Beta ends, filling the time in-between the Beta and the game’s October release date.

It’s unknown at present whether Operation Dark Divide will be the final new content release for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4. However, Tag der Toten will be the last Aether Zombies entry for the game. With the launch of Modern Warfare, Activision will no doubt wish to focus on the new title, while Treyarch will, without the push to deliver new content, presumably shift to focus more on their next game’s development.
