Death Stranding May Not Be a PS4 Exclusive After All

So far to this point, we’ve all been thinking that Death Stranding is a PS4 exclusive. There has been no reason to assume otherwise, being as the game has been listed as one. But now, it looks like that might not be the case! So if you have been hoping to play the upcoming game on another platform, you may be in luck after all.

Why Death Stranding May Not Be a PS4 Exclusive

There are a couple of reasons why it is possible that Death Stranding will be coming to more than just PS4. First of all, remember that Tribeca panel with Geoff Keighley, Norman Reedus and Hideo Kojima back in April? You might recall that Kojima was questioned as to whether the game would be available to play on PC, and he didn’t say yes, but he also didn’t say no.

And now, we have spotted a new development. If you check the official Sony list of PlayStation 4 exclusives, you will no longer find Death Stranding anywhere on it. Why include the game only to remove it?

It seems like there are a couple of possibilities. The first is that, of course, this could just be a mistake of some sort. In that case, it would be meaningless, which is why we shouldn’t get our hopes up too high just yet. But the second possibility is that Sony removed the entry on purpose. Maybe Sony originally planned for it to be a PS4 exclusive, but perhaps things have changed, and a PC version will arrive after all.

We will let you know if we find out anything more about the possibility of Death Stranding on PC. In the meantime, check out the Death Stranding PS4 box art from Comic-Con if you haven’t yet.
