A big part of Destiny 2’s recently launched Dawning event involves baking cookies for NPC’s. Yep, you read that right, us Guardians have been reduced to amateur bakers for the holidays it seems. Really though, it’s actually not that bad. Collecting the ingredients needed for the cookies involves killing enemies throughout the solar system (because of course it does).
Once you have the ingredients, though, combining them into tasty treats involves a little trial and error. Unless, that is, you’re using this guide which handily lays out all the different cookie ingredient combinations.
Destiny 2 Dawning Ingredients and Recipes
One important thing to note before you start baking is that you’ll want to intentionally screw up at least once. Combining two incompatible ingredients results in “Burnt Edge Transits” (oh Bungie…) which can be taken to Master Rahool. Baking the Burnt Edge Transits is required if you want the associated Dawning Triumph for baking all available recipes.
However, when you finish the standard recipes your portable oven gets masterworked, disabling the ability to mix and match ingredients. This essentially locks you out of being able to bake Burnt Edge Transits, thus costing you the Triumph.
Anyways, below is a list of ingredients and associated baking recipes. Note that in addition to the ingredients each bake requires 15 Essence of Dawning. - Personal Touch – Kill enemies with melee attacks
- Null Taste – Kill enemies with Void damage
- Impossible Heat – Kill enemies with Solar damage

- Flash of Inspiration – Generate Orbs of Light
- Bullet Spray – Kill enemies with automatic weapons (auto rifles, heavy machine guns, and SMG’s)
