Destiny 2: Final Chest Cheese for The Menagerie is Getting Patched

The Menagerie is recently introduced to Destiny 2 with Season of Opulence. It’s a 6-player matchmade activity with exclusive loot pool of weapons. Since the release of this activity, players have found a really great cheese to farm it’s weapons for a better roll (god roll). But, it seems like its time for this bug to get patched.

The Menagerie is About to Get a Patch in July

In This Week at Bungie, they announced that they will be patching this loophole where players raced out of the area and went back to the chest to farm weapons until the timer runs out. Here’s what they said in TWAB this week:

When Season of Opulence began, we watched as players quickly discovered a bug in how the Menagerie’s final chest granted rewards. Players began to race out of the area and then back to the chest as fast as they could to get as many rewards as possible before sent back to orbit. It felt reminiscent of when players were farming treasure keys from chests on their Sparrows leading up to House of Wolves.

Consider this an error in your favor. We haven’t rushed to fix it, but when we patch on July 9, this loophole will officially close, allowing only one opening of the chest per completion. Until then, we invite you to take advantage of this all you like. Grow fat with strength.

Sadly, this patch will be coming on July 9, 2019, on Tuesday. So, it will be on a weekly reset. They also said that enjoy and farm as many weapons as you can from this bug. So, this really is your last chance to grow fat from strength. Since, from July 9, players will be able to get only one chest at the end of the activity – which is how it’s supposed to be.

Lumina – Another Exotic Hand Cannon Coming to Destiny 2

If you don’t know, there’s an exotic hand cannon also coming to Destiny 2 next week on weekly reset called Lumina (every quest step has already been leaked). Bungie did reveal where you’ll have to go in order to get the questline started.

Next week, the Lumina quest becomes available to all Annual Pass owners. We are excited to see Guardians wielding this weapon to support each other in combat. We don’t want to spoil too much, but you should expect to start your hunt for this weapon in the EDZ.

Destiny 2: Shadowkeep will be releasing on September 17 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC. Destiny 2 will also be available on Google Stadia this fall in November 2019.
