Destiny 2: How to Find the Lord of Wolves Exotic Shotgun in the Forsaken Expansion

Of the various Destiny Exotics which have been brought back in Destiny 2, one of the more exciting carryovers is the Lord of Wolves Exotic shotgun, a weapon which was added in via the newly launched Forsaken expansion. Some Exotics can only be claimed by completing lengthy and specific quests, but such is fortunately not the case with Lord of Wolves. However, the bad news is that if you want to add the Lord of Wolves to your Exotic arsenal, you’ll need a little push from lady luck.

Redditor ZEFAGrimm recently revealed over on the official Destiny subreddit that Lord of Wolves is one of the potential rewards Destiny 2 players can earn from the new series of Wanted bounties offered by The Spider.

The Lord of Wolves is now in Destiny 2.

For those who don’t know, The Spider is a friendly Fallen NPC whom players meet early on in the Forsaken story campaign. By redeeming Ghost Fragments earned from certain Tangled Shore activities, players can purchase a series of Wanted bounties from The Spider in which they venture to a specific location on a planet (usually a Lost Sector or an outdoor sub-region), find a powerful wanted enemy, and kill them. Each Wanted bounty completed awards a piece of Legendary gear, and there’s also apparently a chance that the gear reward can be an Exotic like Lord of Wolves.

ZEFAGrimm’s post also confirms that the Wanted bounties currently appear to be the only way to earn unique Legendary rewards such as the Shatterhorn armor set and the Ether Doctor auto rifle. Commenters in ZEFAGrimm’s thread also confirmed that Lord of Wolves can drop from the moment you are able to take on Wanted bounties, no need to reach Forsaken’s endgame first (one commenter reported on how having Lord of Wolves made fighting the expansion’s new Baron boss enemies a lot easier).

Claiming the Lord of Wolves for yourself may involve a little legwork (not to mention a little luck), but fortunately adding Forsaken’s exclusive Cayde’s Stash and Deluxe Edition items to your inventory involves a much more straightforward process.
