Destiny 2: How to Get the Izanagi’s Burden Catalyst

With yesterday’s weekly reset, Bungie added yet another exotic catalyst for a sniper rifle called Izanagi’s Burden. That’s not the only thing which was added in yesterday’s reset. Bungie also added a Heroic version of the Menagerie (a 6-player match-made activity added with the Season of Opulence).

Let’s get straight to the grind. In order to get the Izanagi’s Burden Catalyst, you need to completely upgrade your Chalice of Opulence. After that, just run the heroic version of the Menagerie and kill the final boss (this allows the catalyst to be added into the loot pool). If you don’t know, every heroic activity in Destiny 2 has some modifiers – and so does the Menagerie. This week’s modifiers are Iron and Blackout. So, you just need to spam revives whenever a fireteam gets down.

Keep in mind, once every requirement is met, you’ll get the catalyst upon completing the heroic version – guaranteed! So, you don’t have to farm the catalyst itself.

Izanagi’s Burden Catalyst Requirements

The main perk on this sniper rifle is Honed EdgeHolding reload consumes the magazine and loads a round with additional range and damage.” And here’s the buff of the catalyst, “Increases the damage bonus of Honed Edge when 4 bullets are consumed.

To complete this Catalyst, you just need to kill enemies using this sniper rifle. Looks pretty hard, right? Let’s find out. You need to load into the Last Wish raid and teleport to Shuro Chi encounter. Keep in mind, you need to bring you Hunter with Tether and Orpheus Rigs exotic leg armor with you.

After you’ve spawned, just put down your raid banner to get your super. And use tether at the main gate. after that just pick every thrall out with your Izanagi’s Burden and wipe. Rinse and repeat this process until the catalyst is complete. This won’t take more than ten to twenty minutes.

Izanagi’s Burden Catalyst gives you a 20% buff in damage when 4 bullets are consumed. But this weapons is still not good for DPS in raids since you’ll need to reload every single time to activate the perk. This YouTuber has put together a video on how to complete the catalyst.
