Destiny 2: No Sparrow Horns in Shadowkeep, Increased Menagerie Drops

Destiny 1 had really cool little tiny details that players are missing in Destiny 2 like – Sparrow Horns. When Destiny 2 was released in 2017, one of the features that were removed was Sparrow Horns. Players loved honking around on their Sparrows whenever they wanted to call out a Guardian just patrolling on the Moon or Mars. There were different types of Sparrow Horns as well; my favorite one was probably the Duck Horn (quack).

No Sparrow Horns in Destiny 2

In an interview with IGN during Gamescom, Creative Lead Benjamin Wommack confirmed that Sparrow Horns are not making a return in Destiny 2 with Shadowkeep this fall. He said, “Destiny 2 doesn’t have sparrow horns. It’s something I’m keenly aware of. And I love sparrow horns, but we have no sparrow horns in Shadowkeep.” We might see this feature some time later in Year 3 of Destiny 2 but definitely not at launch of Shadowkeep.

Increased Menagerie Drops

If you don’t know, Bungie is hosting the first-ever Community Challenge in Destiny 2. Players will have to Defeat 175 thousand Wave 7 Escalation Protocol bosses, defeat 300 million Hive on Mars, complete Nightfalls, and use 300 thousand Override Frequencies. Here’s everything you need to know about this event.

Now, if the community reaches all the goals mentioned above in the challenge, Calus will unlock additional rewards upon successful Menagerie completions.

“This also serves as an opportunity for you to further impress Emperor Calus. If the community reaches all the above goals, Calus will unlock additional rewards for successful Menagerie completions. Starting when goals are met, players will be guaranteed two rewards when slotting their runes and opening the chest, and an additional reward will be added each Friday for the remainder of the Season.”

Destiny 2: Shadowkeep will be hitting PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, on October 1, 2019, and later in November on Google Stadia.
