EA Reveals Top 3 NBA Live 19 Teams Before 2018 NBA Season Starts

With the NBA season set to tip off next Tuesday, the debates over which teams will be the best of the East and West rage on. Several teams made some mighty offseason roster moves. That includes the Los Angeles Lakers signing the top star in the game, LeBron James. However, in NBA Live 19, a number of teams are much better overall. The EA Sports crew gave gamers a look at the top 3 NBA Live 19 teams heading into this brand new season.

Golden State Warriors top all NBA Live 19 teams

Right now, there’s no question that a path to the NBA Championship will lead through one team. The Golden State Warriors didn’t really lose any major stars from the roster. They re-signed two-time NBA Finals MVP Kevin Durant and if that wasn’t enough, added a fifth All-Star with DeMarcus Cousins. That makes the Warriors tough in the real NBA as well as in NBA Live 19 gameplay.

Their starting lineup looks like an All-Star lineup complete with two-time MVP Steph Curry, KD, all-purpose player Draymond Green, sharpshooter Klay Thompson, and “Boogie” Cousins. If the Warriors fail to capture a third-straight title, it would be very surprising, and probably take a combination of bad luck with injury issues for it to happen.

Houston Rockets second in NBA Live 19 teams

One team came extremely close to knocking off the defending champions last postseason. Led by last season’s NBA MVP, James Harden, the Houston Rockets had Golden State on the ropes in the Western Conference Finals. However, Chris Paul was sidelined and the Warriors did what they do by making a strong comeback. The Rockets could only watch as Golden State headed to a fourth-straight NBA Finals.

However, the Rockets were able to re-sign Chris Paul for the upcoming season. That gives them two of the game’s best guards and arguably the best backcourt in the league right now. In addition, they added the longtime NBA veteran, Carmelo Anthony. They’ll hope he pays dividends as they look to finish what they started in the 2018 playoffs.

Boston Celtics third-best of NBA Live 19 teams

The Boston Celtics had a season which was marked by “What if?” questions, mostly due to injury problems. They lost All-Star Gordon Hayward for the entire season in just the first game. Kyrie Irving showed his brilliance during the campaign and the team still managed to achieve one of the top records in the Eastern Conference.

However, Kyrie was shut down for injury and surgery issues ahead of the playoffs. Even with the highly-skilled guard out of action, his Celtics crew seemed to overachieve thanks to veteran experience, coaching brilliance, and coach Brad Stevens’ intelligent game plans. With Hayward and Irving healthy and ready to go, plus Tatum’s emergence, this is easily the best of the East and a team capable of locking the Warriors down on defense in the Finals.

These three teams will certainly get a lot of play within NBA Live 19, but gamers will also be testing them with other contenders. Some of those could include the Toronto Raptors or Philadelphia 76ers (featuring the game’s cover athlete) in the East. The Oklahoma City Thunder or Utah Jazz could challenge out West. Oh yea, don’t sleep on LeBron James and the Lakers, either!

The NBA Live 19 game is currently available for Sony’s PlayStation 4 and the Microsoft Xbox One consoles.
