EA UFC 4 Cover Predictions: Five Fighters Who Could Be on the New Game’s Cover

With recent rumors of the new UFC 4 video game coming later this year, we are hoping for a winning installment in the EA franchise. It’s well known that having a recognizable and popular star on a sports game’s cover is also crucial in terms of marketing and sales. We’ve seen the Notorious Conor McGregor appear on a recent covert so we think he may not be on the next one. That said, we’ve got five fighters we think could be there in our EA UFC 4 cover predictions.

EA UFC 4 cover predictions: Top choices

EA Sports UFC had Jon Jones and Alexander Gustafsson on the cover. The sequel featured popular fighters Ronda Rousey and Conor McGregor. On EA Sports UFC 3, Conor McGregor was pictured by himself on front of the game with two championship belts draped over his shoulder. Now they’ll need someone to succeed him as the new cover star when EA’s UFC 4 is released.

Khabib Nurmagomedov – Khabib seems like a top choice to succeed Conor McGregor. The man holds a perfect 28-0 record with his past two wins over Dustin Poirier and Conor McGregor. The fight prior to that, Khabib captured the vacant UFC Lightweight Championship by decision against Al Iaquinta at UFC 223.

This has all gone done over the past two years, which is exactly how long UFC 3 has been in rotation. However, Khabib is also highly controversial and that could mean EA doesn’t want him representing the game. The same can be said of Conor McGregor, so seeing either of them on the game’s cover might be a surprise to some.

Amanda Nunes – When it comes to the women’s division, Nunes is the best of the class right now. Nunes is the current UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion. She’s won 10 fights in a row including recent bouts against Holly Holm by TKO and Cris Cyborg by KO. Other wins include Ronda Rousey, Miesha Tate, and Shayna Baszler.

Translation – Nunes is the best of the best. We think if she makes the cover, it will likely to be a dual cover, sharing it with Khabib or someone in our picks below.

Three other fighters as UFC cover stars

Daniel Cormier – Let’s face it, he’s pretty well known amongst UFC MMA fans. He also has the personality and expertise to help sell a video game. Cormier was amongst participants in the recent ESPN Madden Celebrity tournament, so he’s got some familiarity with EA games. In terms of resume, he’s 3-1 over his last four fights. Unfortunately, in that one loss, he lost the UFC Heavyweight Championship.

Stipe Miocic – The man who defeated Cormier for the Heavyweight title could easily find himself on the cover. Miocic is currently ranked No. 4 on UFC’s pound-for-pound rankings behind Henry Cejudo, Khabib, and Jon Jones. He’s 22-3 for his career with 15 of his wins coming by knockout. We could easily see a Cormier and Miocic face off for the EA UFC 4 cover as these two split their last two fights against each other.

Henry Cejudo – He’s currently on a five-fight winning streak including his big win at UFC 238 last June. In that fight, he defeated Marlon Moraes via TKO to claim the UFC Bantamweight Championship. Now, Cejudo is preparing for a scheduled defense against Dominick Cruz at UFC 249, if it goes forth. If he fights and successfully defends, that may secure his spot on the EA UFC 4 cover.

We think any one of the choices above, or a combination of them could make a lot of sense for the next UFC game’s cover. However, don’t be completely surprised if they once again get Conor McGregor on the cover. Let’s face it, he’s just that popular of a character within the MMA world!
