The Elder Scrolls: Legends Alliance War is Now Available

Sparkypants Studios has now released The Elder Scrolls: Legends Alliance War; the latest pack-based expansion for the Elder Scrolls card game. Featuring over 100 new cards and five new factions, the expansion comes with quite a lot of new content. The expansion was only recently announced earlier this month, when Sparkypants Studios released a trailer for it.

What’s New in The Elder Scrolls: Legends Alliance War?

“Tumultuous times have come to the land of Tamriel,” says Sparkypants Studios, in their announcement post; “Five powerful factions have done away with their treaties and broken out into a full-scale conflict for the future of the continent. When the dust finally settles, however, only one can sit atop the Ruby Throne… will it be you?”

The Elder Scrolls Legends Alliance War Launches

Set during the five-sided Alliance War which also features in The Elder Scrolls: Online, The Elder Scrolls: Legends Alliance War introduces five new factions; each themed around three of the game’s different card attributes. The Aldmeri Dominion, for example, makes use of Intelligence, Willpower, and Agility. The Empire of Cyrodiil uses Willpower, Agility, and Endurance. The Ebonheart Pact, on the other hand, uses Agility, Endurance, and Strength. The Daggerfall Covenant has Endurance, Strength, and Intelligence. Finally, The Guildsworn use Strength, Intelligence, and Willpower.

Alongside these new factions are over 100 new cards, a new playmat, new music tracks, and also new visual effects. Additionally, there are four new card mechanics which feature on some of the new expansion cards. The first of these is ‘Empower,’ which boosts a card’s power each time you damage your opponent. The second, ‘Expertise,’ grants you an effect if you play an action, item or support card on that turn. ‘Mobilise’ appears on item cards and allows you to play it into an empty lane and summon a Recruit to make use of it. Finally, ‘Veteran’ gives a card a bonus; “After their first taste of battle.”
