The New Version of The Elder Scrolls: Legends Finally Launches

Ever since Bethesda took The Elder Scrolls: Legends away from Dire Wolf Digital and gave it to Sparkypants Studios, the new development team have been working on a major upgrade of the game. Now, after months in development, the game is finally transitioning to that new version. It features a new client, new layout, new animations, and plenty more.

The New Version of The Elder Scrolls: Legends

Sparkypants Studios has asked fans to be patient on a few occasions over the last few months. However, it seems that the wait is finally at an end. The studio recently posted an update on the game’s website. It names today as the launch date for the new version of The Elder Scrolls: Legends; “The long-awaited update to the brand new Sparkypants Studios version of Legends is set to arrive Tuesday, September 25th. We appreciate the community’s patience in the months leading up to this transition and assure you that every available moment was spent making sure the new version of Legends lives up to your expectations.”

The New Elder Scrolls Legends Update Launches Today

This is no mere run-of-the-mill update, however. The new version of The Elder Scrolls: Legends is actually a whole new version of the game with completely new code; “The entire client has been rebuilt from scratch,” says the studio; “For players this means a new user interface, new gameboard, new and improved animations, increased gameplay speed, revamped card frames, new premium card animations and an improved tutorial experience.”

Players will retain all of their account progress and the game should run better than ever. The update won’t affect anybody’s Ranked progress or anybody’s collections. Of course, as with any new release, Sparkypants Studios is anticipating bugs; “While we’re confident you’re going to love the final product,” they say; “our goal is always transparency. To that end we’re tracking a list of known issues that we plan to address in the first post-refresh patch, and we’re under no illusion that additional snags or issues may arise when the new product is live.”
