Everything We Know About Bloodlines 2’s Brujah Clan

Following a clever ARG-driven tease, Paradox Interactive formally announced a proper sequel to Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines. Much like its predecessor, Bloodlines 2 allows players to craft their own vampire protagonist and join various vampire clans. One such clan is the Brujahs, tough pugilists who live to upset the established order.

Brujahs are basically the rebel outliers of Bloodlines 2’s established vampire communities. They prize strength of body and strength of will above all else. A typical Brujah meetup is known as a “bash,” the vampire equivalent of an underground fight club. Brujahs don’t really work well with others, but other vampire clans sometimes bring them on as hired muscle.

If the player joins the Brujah clan, they unlock two unique disciplines: Potence and Celerity. Each of these disciplines in turn contains two unique vampire powers. Unsurprisingly, these powers focus on overwhelming opponents with either brute strength or blurring speed.

Potence

  • Fist of Caine – A powerful punch melee attack. By using Fist of Caine, players can obliterate environmental objects like walls and other barriers. Hitting enemies with Fist of Caine is guaranteed to do some serious damage as well.
  • Earthshock – The player punches the ground, sending out an area-of-effect shockwave. Any enemies caught in the shockwave’s radius are knocked down and take damage. Earthshock can also be upgraded to send out damaging ground fissures as well.

Celerity

  • Unseen Storm – The player can dash in a given direction at incredible speed. The dash is so fast that to casual observers the player simply disappears and reappears at a distant location. This allows the player to quickly reposition during combat (or make a quick getaway). If the player dashes through an enemy, that enemy is knocked down as a result.
  • Accelerate – This is basically Bloodlines 2’s version of bullet time. When the player triggers Accelerate, time basically slows down around them. Enemies are left exposed, bullets seem to freeze in mid-air, and the player is free to act with virtual impunity.

After joining the Brujah clan, the player also gets to keep the initial Thinblood powers they picked at the beginning of the game. This likely remains the case no matter which of the greater clans the player joins.
