With no human NPCs in Fallout 76, the wastes of West Virginia can sometime feel a bit lonely. Evidently, at least one survivor of the Great War thought so to, and hit upon a rather oddball solution. The Fallout 76 Someone To Talk To drop quest can be found in the Savage Divide, and involves shooting animals with a special “Vox Syringer.”
How to Complete the Fallout 76 Someone To Talk To Drop Quest
To start the Fallout 76 Someone To Talk To drop quest, you’ll need to head out to the Savage Divide. Bear in mind that the region is best-suited to characters between the levels of 15-24. As you approach Monongah in the northern end of the region, you should receive a miscellaneous quest which directs you to a terminal in a derelict house. Boot up the terminal and select the; “Begin Vox Interpreter Data Collection Exercise,” option. Once you’ve done that, look for a marked box. Inside, you’ll find a special weapon called the Vox Syringer. Picking this weapon up should formally start the quest.
With the quest now begun, use your Pip-Boy to play the Vox Interpreter Holotape. Now, you need to hunt three animals. What makes this section a bit tricky is that the animals are selected at random. When you find each one, simply shoot them once with the Vox Syringer. Do not kill them; after each animal is hit, you’ll need to wait for a timer to complete so that your Pip-Boy can analyse the data.
Once you’ve successfully shot and analysed all three animals, head back to the room where you started the quest. Here, you need to put the Vox Syringer back where you found it. Then, put the Vox Interpreter Holotape back in the terminal. Completing the quest will reward you with random ammo, aid items, and a random armour piece, weapon, mod, or plan. There’s also a chance that you’ll receive a legendary armour piece or weapon. Whatever you get, you are also guaranteed to get syringer ammo.
