The latest features FUT cards representing stars of the Knockout stage of the Champions League competition. Among the featured players are Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi with high-rated FUT cards. Here are more details on the recently-revealed FIFA 19 Team of the Knockout Stage players.

FIFA 19 Team of the Knockout Stage UEFA Champions, Europa League Players

On April 19, EA Sports FIFA dropped the new Team of the Knockout Stage lineup for gamers to check out. It features a total of 14 players for the UEFA Champions League and four players from UEFA Europa League.

Right off the bat, gamers will see the game’s original cover athlete Cristiano Ronaldo as well as Lionel Messi. These two have been amongst the top-rated players in FIFA 19 and part of the Team of the Year squads. It’s no surprise talents of their caliber lead the way on TOTKS. Messi brings the 99, while Ronaldo brings a 98.

They’re joined by Virgil Van Dijk (93), Raheem Sterling (92), Pique (92), and goalkeeper Hugo Lloris (91). Four other 90-rated stars are on the team including Sadio Mane and Leroy Sane. There’s also a recent FIFA Team of the Week representative, Heung Min Son with an 89 overall. Check out the full team in the tweets below.

There’s just one player with a 90-or-better rating for the UEFA Europa League and that’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. He brings a 92 overall rating with his card which includes 98 Pace, 90 Shooting, and 88 Dribbling. Left-wing Willian has an 88 overall, while striker Giroud has an 87. An 85-rated Kolasinac rounds out the four selections for TOTKS for Europa.

Team of the Knockout Stage issues, details

As with other FIFA 19 team announcements, this one isn’t without controversy. Gamers are already weighing in at Twitter or FUTHead website about potential snubs. At least one name popping up is Filip Kostic, while others believe that Frankfurt deserved a representative here.

In addition, a lot of gamers believe this latest promotion doesn’t bring much to the playing table. Many of the stars revealed here already had special cards in FIFA Ultimate Team. Still, it seems to honor the best-of-the-best from UEFA competitions.

The FIFA 19 Team of the Knockout stage also includes new weekly objectives and SBCs. On Friday, they announced an 89 Matthijs de Ligt as the first of the UEFA Champions League SBCs. He’ll be the first of four SBCs revealed for this brand new promotion so stay tuned.
