After collecting all of the votes from those involved, the FIFA 19 Team of the Year has been revealed. On Monday (Jan. 7), EA Sports showed off their official 11-man lineup of top players, as chosen by voters. It involves the best of the best in the football game including well-known stars, most of which probably aren’t a surprise to fans. Here’s a look at who made the final TOTY lineup and details on the first available Ultimate Team cards.

FIFA 19 Team of the Year headlined by Messi, Ronaldo, Mbappe, Modric

It’s hard to call any one particular player on the FIFA 19 Team of the Year a headliner. However, several stars, in particular, seem to take that distinction. When EA released the FIFA 19 game, the top-rated players were cover athlete Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi. These two players seemed to be obvious choices based on their continued excellence. However, other names on the list also make good sense.

For example, there’s the recent Ballon d’Or winner Luka Modric, and also Kopa Trophy winner Kylian Mbappe. Both players have seen an incredible run during the past year. Some fans and analysts believe Mbappe will add that Ballon d’Or to his trophies before his career is said and done.

As seen in the tweet posted above, the forwards are available in the game starting today at 6 p.m. United Kingdom time. So make sure to get those Mbappe, Messi, and Ronaldo player cards for FIFA Ultimate Team as you can.

Joining the aforementioned Modric as midfielders are Kevin De Bruyne and N’Golo Kante. Marcelo, Sergio Ramos, Virgil Van Dijk, and Raphael Varane make up the defenders on the squad. Of course, the team needs a goalkeeper, and there doesn’t seem to be a more suitable choice out there than David de Gea.

The FIFA 19 TOTY arrived after a week of voting for players. Those players that made it to the final team were part of an original 55 nominees. Not everyone was going to get a spot, but these 11 players above seem pretty deserving for Ultimate Team honors this year.
