FIFA 20 Competitive Gaming: eMLS Reveals 2020 Schedule, Three New Clubs for Upcoming Season
The world of FIFA 20 competitive gaming is continuing to expand. On Monday, November 18, eMLS officially revealed that there are three new clubs set to join the competition. In addition, they released the official 2020 schedule for FIFA 20 competitive gaming which will all lead to the eMLS Cup.
eMLS 2020 to feature three new clubs in FIFA 20 Competitive Gaming
The 2019 eMLS Cup went to doolsta representing the MLS’ Philadelphia Union for the event. In the coming season, eMLS will bring three more teams with Austin FC, Nashville, and LAFC joining the league. That will add to the total number of players that are part of the FIFA 20 competitive gaming scene. According to the MLS Soccer site’s report, it will be 25 total players vying for the eMLS Cup.
Of those teams, the Los Angeles Football Club is already considered a contender to win the MLS Cup in 2020. Could their FIFA 20 competitive gaming player win one of the League Series events or the eMLS Cup this season?
eMLS 2020 Season: Key dates & details
As far as the eMLS 2020 season goes, that will officially start in January 2020. The eMLS League Series One event presented by PlayStation leads the way for the season on January 10 in Philadelphia. It’s hosted in conjunction with MLS’ Philadelphia Union.
The Portland Timbers host the League Series Two on Feb. 15. Each of these League Series events involves the winning individual getting a trophy. Players who participate will also get points towards seeding for the big eMLS Cup in March.
The eMLS Cup 2020 wraps up the season for FIFA 20 competitive gaming. That will take place on March 10, during the second weekend of the South by Southwest event in Austin, Texas. With 25 competitors this season, it seems to be anyone’s Cup to win. However, there will appropriately be a representative for the Austin club vying for the win.
The winner of the 2020 eMLS Cup gets a trophy and the fame. In addition, they get 850 Global Series points. Those will count towards qualification for the Global Series Playoffs. That can ultimately help a player get into the FIFA eWorld Cup. The big event will crown the undisputed champion of FIFA 20 competitive gaming.
