FIFA 22 Versus Promo: How to Complete Dries Mertens SBC in Ultimate Team
The second squad for the FIFA 22 Versus Promo is officially available in Ultimate Team mode, bringing contrasting player items. Along with the release of the second team, the Ice Versus team, there is also a brand new Squad Building Challenge. Here are details on how to unlock the Dries Mertens SBC in FIFA’s Ultimate Team and add his Ice card to your FUT squad.
What is EA’s FIFA 22 Versus Promo?
The FIFA 22 Versus Promo arrived on Friday, December 10 with the unveiling of Team 1, Fire. Those players’ cards became randomly available in Ultimate Team via FUT packs. Among the featured players were 89 OVR Gabriel Jesus, 88 OVR Marcus Rashford, and 86 OVR Adama Traore. Their Versus Fire cards were live in FUT packs up until Monday, December 13.
That’s when the new Versus Ice player items were unveiled for the promotion. It’s the same players, but they have cards with different attributes than gamers got on Fire. Check out the new FIFA 22 Versus team below.
Along with the player cards above, Ultimate Team also has Squad Building Challenges (SBCs) and Objectives to earn additional Versus players. The Dries Mertens SBC is our focus here, as the Napoli CF also has both an Ice and a Fire SBC. You can see more about EA’s Versus promotion here.
Dries Mertens Ice vs. Fire SBC cards
With the Versus promotion, there are two different Dries Mertens SBC items in FIFA 22. His Fire SBC item features 87 Pace, 87 Shooting, 82 Passing, 90 Dribbling, 36 Defense, and 53 Physical attributes. The card has High/Low Workrates and four-star for Skill Moves and Weak Foot.
The Dries Mertens Ice SBC item has 87 Pace, 84 Shooting, 86 Passing, 90 Dribbling, 36 Defense, and 53 Physical attributes. So basically, a slight bump in his Passing on this card while Shooting is down slightly. It also brings High/Low Workrates and four-star for Skill Moves and Weak Foot.

How to complete Mertens FIFA 22 Versus SBC
You’ll need to put together two unique squads of 11 players each to get the Dries Mertens SBC done. The first of these is an 11-man Belgium squad. This squad requires at least one Belgium player, at least one Team of the Week player, an overall Team Rating of 84 minimum, and a Team Chemistry of 75 minimum. For completing this squad, you’ll be rewarded with a Small Prime Gold Players Pack.
The other squad is a Serie A Tim squad. This one requires at least one Serie A TIM player, at least one Team of the Week player, a minimum Team Rating of 85, and a minimum Team Chemistry of 70. The reward is a Prime Electrum Players Pack.
Completing both of these squads is all that’s required to unlock Dries Mertens for the FIFA 22 Versus Promo. You’ll get to choose his Fire or Ice item to use with your Ultimate Team roster. As of this report, there are six days left to complete the SBC so that’s plenty of time!
