Final Fantasy XV Pocket Edition HD Port Leaks, Could Be Coming to Nintendo Switch

Final Fantasy XV Pocket Edition HD has leaked on the PlayStation Store in the UK. The icon for the game can be found there, leading fans to believe that an HD port of the game is making its way at least to PS4, if not also Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. The leaked icon for the game and its new title can be found in the store by going to the new games section.

This leaked icon for Final Fantasy XV Pocket Edition HD was discovered by Gematsu. Unfortunately, we have no other details on what this enhanced version will have, as clicking on the icon itself leads to an error message on the PlayStation Store. Most likely, it was not supposed to be put up just yet.

The timing of the Final Fantasy XV Pocket Edition HD leak is interesting, given that the Tokyo Game Show 2018 is just around the corner, taking place Wednesday, September 19 through Sunday, September 23. It is possible that Square Enix will have the formal announcement take place there.

For those who aren’t aware, the original Final Fantasy XV Pocket Edition is a mobile and PC exclusive version of the latest Final Fantasy title that remade the entire game with a more chibi art style and revamped gameplay. Square Enix has hinted at this version possible coming to Nintendo Switch in the future so this leak is no surprise.

What is interesting is that Final Fantasy XV Pocket Edition HD is at least coming to PS4 and, presumably, Xbox One as well. This is all pure speculation, though, as an official announcement has yet to happen. With the leak out now on the PlayStation Store, we will most likely receive an official reveal in the very near future.  Make sure to stay tuned for that announcement and the currently unknown release date.
