Five Battlefield 5 Events Are Coming During Lightning Strikes

Battlefield 5 is entering the second chapter of its Tides of War post-launch content schedule, entitled Lightning Strikes. As part of this chapter, which features new game modes, rewards, and more, DICE will be staging five special Battlefield 5 events. These events will each span one to two weeks of themed content during the course of Lightning Strikes.

All Five Battlefield 5 Events Coming in Tides of War Chapter 2

Event 1: A Few Good Soldiers

‘A Few Good Soldiers’ will be the first event in Lightning Strikes, spanning weeks 1 and 2 of the chapter. It is due to start on the 17th of January. During this event, the new Squad Conquest game mode will be available; the only two weeks during all of Lightning Strikes when the mode will be playable. The event’s two Weekly Challenges will be themed around the mode, and will feature the Zk-383 Submachine Gun and Modele 1944 Semi-Automatic Rifle as rewards.

Event 2: Hold the Line

The second Lightning Strikes event, ‘Hold the Line’ focuses on the Breakthrough and Frontlines game modes. It will take place during week 3 and 4 of Lightning Strikes. The two Weekly Challenges will offer objectives themed around these two modes. Their rewards will me the M1922 MMG for the Support class and the Final Countdown headgear.

There are Five Battlefield 5 Events in Lightning Strikes

Event 3 Iron Skin

The only single-week event in Lightning Strikes, ‘Iron Skin’ will span week 5 only. The event emphasises tank combat, but other than that, DICE has released no further details about it.

Event 4: Armor on the Horizon

The ‘Armor on the Horizon’ event is likely to coincide with the launch of the new Grand Operation; one based around the Panzerstorm map which was added in the Overture Tides of War chapter. The event will last through weeks 6 and 7 of Lightning Strikes, and include two new Weekly Challenges themed around the new Grand Operation.

Event 5: Unstoppable Force

The fifth and final special event of Lightning Strikes, ‘Unstoppable Force’ will coincide with the return of the Rush game mode to Battlefield 5. The two Weekly Challenges will focus on this returning mode, but the rewards are currently under wraps.
