Fortnite 17.20 Early Patch Notes: Underground POI And New Feature

Fortnite Battle Royale’s v17.20 patch is just around the corner. Epic Games has announced this update for Tuesday, July 20. It turns out that it will be released slightly earlier than the other patches as the downtime will begin at 2:30 AM Eastern Time.

This will be the first big patch since the v17.10 update and players expect big things from it. Epic Games has already revealed some upcoming content, but there is much more that will be released on Tuesday. Let’s check the early patch notes!

New Fortnite feature coming to the game in 17.20 update

Epic Games has revealed the Preferred Item Slots feature that is coming to the game. This feature will allow Fortnite players to select preferred items for each inventory slot. Even though this setting will be in a beta phase, it is still a fantastic addition.

The v17.20 patch is bringing a new feature.

Players have been asking for this feature for a few years now, so it’s great that the game developer is finally adding it. It will most likely be developed even more in the future, so there is no doubt this is a step in the right direction.

Map changes

The v17.20 Fortnite patch could bring some big map changes to the game. The destruction of Coral Castle has been leaked and may happen soon. Furthermore, Epic Games has recently teased Fortnite players with an image that reveals what could possibly be an underground point of interest. This POI has a large UFO inside of it and players are hoping it will be released soon.

Besides big changes to the map, there will most likely be some smaller changes. For example, IO Guards could set up another camp on the island and Zyg & Choppy may change their location once again.

New NPC and bug fixes

Fortnite Battle Royale leakers have revealed that a new NPC would be added to the game this season. The NPC name is Vorian Scout (Kymera) and he will be selling an Epic Tactical Shotgun.

Epic Games has posted the list of fixed bugs that will be released with the Fortnite 17.20 patch. The button for Arena or tournament details being unresponsive on a controller issue will be fixed with the update as well as Epic chests giving no weapons to players in Arena.

The game developer has also fixed issues with ziplines and vendor rifts, so these two Fortnite features will be re-enabled once the 17.20 patch comes out.
