Fortnite leaks reveal a massive change coming to the game

At the start of Chapter 3 – Season 2, Epic Games has removed the building mechanic from Fortnite. Players couldn’t build anything in core game modes, but the mechanic has remained intact in the competitive modes. Shortly after, the game developer re-enabled building in core modes, and the no-building mode became an optional and a permanent game mode.

The latest Fortnite leaks reveal that the building mechanic will be removed from the competitive modes as well. According to iFireMonkey, one of the most popular Fortnite leakers, the Zero Build mode for Arena has already been added. Not only that, but it has been added in all four team sizes, from Solo to Squads.

The leaker does not have more information regarding these modes. However, considering that Epic has already released a no-building tournament in Fortnite, it won’t be surprising if this happens. Furthermore, the developer would most likely keep the regular Arena mode as well, so players could choose which competitive mode they want to play.

Streamers react to the leak

Turner “Tfue” Tenney has tweeted support for the leak. Tfue, who is one of the most popular Fortnite players of all time, has enjoyed the no-building mode this season, which is why it’s not surprising that he loves the news.

Streamers have also enjoyed the no-building mode in Fortnite Battle Royale.

Ali “SypherPK” Hassan has just posted “so it begins…” on his Twitter profile. Just like Tfue, SypherPK is a fan of the no-building mode, and both of them are aware that the mode could help the game become even more popular. However, it is important that Epic keeps building modes as well.
