Fortnite lightsabers are just around the corner
One thing that made lightsabers unique is its blocking ability. This melee weapon was capable of dealing damage to enemies while also blocking their gun shots. Furthermore, players could quickly collect building materials with Fortnite lightsabers, which made things much easier.
This weapon, which was released for the Star Wars collaboration back in Chapter 2 – Season 2, was generally considered overpowered. Many players couldn’t figure out how to stop it, which is why they didn’t like it. However, Epic Games is making some changes to it, so it may not be as strong as before.
HYPEX, the most popular Fortnite leaker, recently tweeted about the return of the lightsabers. According to him, these weapons will come back for Star Wars Day on May 4th. The leaker revealed that there will be a challenge which requires players to deal damage with Fortnite lightsabers, which is almost a confirmation for their return.
Other leaks claimed that Epic Games was changing certain things about lightsabers, such as effects. Because of this, we could expect the game developer to change their animations and damage as well.
The release date
We can expect Fortnite lightsabers to return to the game on Tuesday, May 3. Epic Games release video game updates on Tuesdays, so this release date makes a lot of sense. However, even if lightsabers do come back on this day, they might stay disabled until May 4.
