Fortnite’s In-Game Tournaments Have Been Revealed

Epic Games has accidentally revealed Fortnite’s in-game tournaments a few days ago. The game developer did this in the Support-A-Creator video, and many players have gotten curious about it. Fortunately, data miners have found some more details about these tournaments, and now we know what’s coming soon.

In one of the upcoming updates, Fortnite Battle Royale will get the Tournaments tab in the main menu. Players will be able to access different tournaments from this tab, and it appears that these tournaments will be available to everyone. Furthermore, there will be a tournament for each regular mode.

Solo tournament

Firstly, Fortnite players will have a chance to participate in a solo tournament. According to data miners, this tournament will start on October 27 and will end on October 31.

Tournament Name: Salty Springs Cup

Description: One week and three attempts to prove you’re the saltiest that Salty Springs has to offer. Compete to take home a pin in the Salty Springs Cup.

Fortnite's In-Game Tournaments

Duos tournament

The second Fortnite in-game tournament will be all about two-player teams. This tournament will start one day after the solo tournament and it will end on November 1.

Tournament Name: Tomato Temple Cup

Description: Grab a friend and make Tomatohead proud. Become legends of the Tomato.

Squads tournament

Lastly, Epic Games will let Fortnite squads match up in the Fortnite Friday Night tournament. It appears that the squads competition will have no time limit as it will be organized every Friday.

Tournament Name: Fortnite Friday Night

Description: Join your friends every Friday and kick off your weekend with some exciting Squad action. Can your team rise to the top?

At the moment, it is unknown what the tournament prizes will be. However, there is a mention of “a shiny pin” in the tournament description. It appears that this will be the reward given to best performers, although no one knows exactly what the purpose of this pin will be.
