This September, we’re playing exciting titles including Hitman: The Complete First Season, We Were Here, Earth Defense Force 20225, and Tekken Tag Tournament 2 through Xbox Games with Gold. But what will the free Xbox Games with Gold October 2019 games be? Let’s go over some possibilities.
1. AeternoBlade
Among October’s planned releases is AeternoBlade 2, which will be available for PS4, Xbox One and Switch on October 11th. As the original AeternoBlade for Xbox One has never been free through PS Plus, perhaps now is the time to make it so. Getting caught up with the original before playing the second installment would be a good idea.
2. Sega Bass Fishing
Those who enjoy sim games will be excited to learn that The Fisherman: Fishing Planet is releasing on October 17th on Xbox One, PS4 and PC. Could we see another fishing game made free through PS Plus next month? Maybe one option worth considering would be Sega Bass Fishing, a.k.a. “Get Bass.” This classic 1997 arcade fishing game has an Xbox 360 port which would be fun to feature in October. Of course, any number of other fishing simulators would also be great to feature next month.
3. Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare
Coming out on October 18th is Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville. This title will release for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. This March, Microsoft made Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 2 free. But it seems that they have never made the original Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare free. No time like the present, right? Let’s hope that they consider it for next month.
4. BioShock
Microsoft featured BioShock Infinite for free in 2015, but has yet to feature BioShock or BioShock 2 (or BioShock: The Collection). Why would they do it now? Well, The Outer Worlds is coming out on October 25th for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. It may seem like there is no connection between the games. But The Outer Worlds appears to feature an art style which is in some respects similar to that of BioShock. So featuring a BioShock game in October for free through Xbox Games with Gold seems like it would be a fun way to look forward to The Outer Worlds later in the month.
