Gamers’ Choice Awards 2018: WWE 2K19 Asks for Votes, Fans Ask For Game Updates or Fixes

The Gamers’ Choice Awards 2018 ceremony is just over a week away and 2K Sports is trying to swing the votes in their favor. The popular professional wrestling title is amongst nominees for the big event, but they will have competition stacked against them. As they make their pitch to gamers, some have decided to react by asking for certain demands to be met within WWE 2K19.

Gamers’ Choice Awards 2018: WWE 2K19 reminds fans to vote

While the nominees were announced a little bit ago, 2K has taken to Twitter to make their fans aware. On Wednesday afternoon, WWE 2K reminded gamers to give them votes in the “Fan Favorite Sports Game” category. To convince fans to vote, they used a graphic showing off members of the Evolution stable (Randy Orton, Triple H, and Batista). They even made reference to an “evolution” in their caption too.

It won’t be an easy fight for the WWE 2K19 game, though. They’re up against six other sports games that fans can vote for. They are EA’s FIFA 19, NHL 19, and Madden NFL 19, Forza Horizon 4, and Rocket League. The WWE game is also up against a fellow 2K title as NBA 2K19 is amongst the nominees.

Gamers’ Choice Awards 2018: Fans react to WWE 2K19 campaign

As with most games, there will always be some issues that persist in even the most popular of titles. That’s usually true with WWE 2K titles. Even though this year’s WWE 2K19 gameplay and features are among the best ever offered, gamers have made some demands in the comments of the vote reminder tweet.

Fans have asked for things like overhauling the gameplay, fixing the numerous in-game glitches (see below) and updating characters or the roster. For example, Dean Ambrose, Bianca Blair, and Baron Corbin are all mentioned as well as bringing certain stars onto the roster of playable WWE 2K19 superstars.

For example, some fans are asking for them to release a new Rising Stars pack in December. One gamer requested it to include Candice LeRae, Dakota Kai, Lacey, and Ricochet. Also, NXT Champion Tommaso Ciampa would make for another great addition even if he was made available in Community Creations.

Time will tell if 2K developers listen to the WWE gamers and make some of these updates. They don’t have too much time to address them all in exchange for votes. The Gamers’ Choice Awards 2018 ceremony will take place on December 9.
