Gear Club Unlimited 2 Announced for Later This Year, Looks to Be Nintendo Switch Exclusive

Gear Club Unlimited 2 has been announced for Nintendo Switch. The sequel to last year’s hit racing game for the hybrid console will be releasing in late 2018. Fans won’t have to wait long to check out this sequel when it releases on Nintendo Switch. Interestingly enough, it seems that the game could be a Nintendo Switch exclusive racing video game.

Notably, the first title in the series came to Nintendo Switch late last year as an enhanced port of the popular mobile racing game. However, the Gear Club Unlimited 2 announcement trailer today made no mention of a mobile version and there isn’t one already out, making it seem that this game could only be coming to Nintendo Switch and no other platforms.

We’ll have to wait and see, though, as the Gear Club Unlimited 2 Nintendo Switch announcement comes from Gematsu, who makes no mention of other platforms at all or if it is exclusive. The racing sequel will allow players to drive across more than “1800 miles of roads” with realistically designed cars made by top manufacturers.

The game will feature a wide variety of environments to race across from snowy mountains to woodland valleys and much more. Players will be able to use their garage to customize their ever-growing assortment of cars to their liking. Lastly, the club portion of Gear Club Unlimited 2 will give players the ability to create and manage their own club to make it the best it can be.

Gear Club Unlimited 2 will release later this year for Nintendo Switch. Keep an eye here for the impending release date. In the meantime, check out other interesting Nintendo Switch titles coming soon like Super Smash Bros Ultimate and Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu & Eevee!, the latter of which will see the return of Mega Evolution from X & Y later this year.
