The Gears 5 announcement at the E3 2018 convention was a pleasant surprise to the fans of the franchise. Fortunately, we were lucky enough to watch an extended trailer for it and learn what is coming. However, The Coalition keep surprising us with what they are bringing with Gears 5. Today, the official Gears of War Twitter account revealed more information on a brand new upcoming enemy.
The Gears of War 4 sequel already seems exciting. The new addition to the franchise is bringing many changes to what we knew so far. The Coalition dropped the “of War” from its title to honor fans and Kait Diaz becomes the main protagonist. The story will focus on Diaz’s past, and we can already smell a twist coming towards us; Gears 5 will bring two more additional games to the franchise. More and more new stuff is coming to excite us.
Among all these fresh releases and changes, there is a challenging new enemy. Today, the official Gears of War Twitter account posted a tweet that revealed further information about this new enemy. Moreover, it was not a mere picture of the enemy, but a GIF taken from Gears 5’s trailer.

The information we had about this specific enemy is that it is called “The Warden.” He was formerly a Locust, but he is a Scion now. However, this tweet hints a lot about his damage and HP. He already seemed powerful just from his appearance, but now we know that his damage equals a punch. Moreover, his weapon is not one, but two, crystallized axes. The reference to his armor most likely means that he will need a lot of hits until he finally falls to the ground. He already seems badass enough, and we are more than ready to fight him.
