Today was the Xbox Games Showcase, and it got off to a rousing start with a brand new trailer for Halo Infinite. The trailer revealed that as expected, Halo Infinite will be an open world game (which makes sense, given the name “Halo Infinite”). And going by the Halo Infinite open world trailer, it looks like it is going to be absolutely magnificent.

Even though it is a solid 8 minutes and 57 seconds, it feels like it passes in the blink of an eye! It starts out with a cinematic introduction. Then, we get to check out the gameplay. Set to run at 60 FPS, the game is visually awe-inspiring. So exploring every inch of the open world is going to be quite the adventure. That adventure is going to take us up against Atriox and the Banished alongside the Covenant.
Judging by what we have seen so far, Halo Infinite is going to be the perfect union between a traditional FPS game and an open world game. It will bring together the features which make both genres a blast to play. We’re guessing that in doing so, it will innovate with both of them in ways that we don’t yet imagine.
