Here’s What’s Included in The Division 2’s Private Beta

Later this week, Ubisoft will be hosting a private beta for its upcoming shooter sequel The Division 2. The beta, which is available to those who pre-order the game, is scheduled to begin on Thursday, February 7. From then until Sunday, February 10 participants will get to sample a sizeable portion of the final game. Read on to find out which parts of The Division 2 will be open to private beta participants.

The Division 2 Private Beta Contents

According to this post from Ubisoft, The Division 2’s private beta includes both PvE and PvP activities. Beta participants can sample two of the game’s main campaign missions, ‘Grand Washington Hotel’ and ‘Jefferson Trade Center.’ The private beta’s open world also contains additional side missions and control point activities for players to tackle. As for PvP, beta participants can try out the structured Skirmish 4v4 competitive mode. A section of the Dark Zone East zone will also be open for those who prefer world-based PvP.

Ubisoft also has a special treat for beta participants who boot up the beta starting on February 8. Completing the Jefferson Trade Center mission will unlock a special endgame mission called ‘Invaded.’ Since the main beta’s level cap is seven, participants naturally won’t use their standard characters for the Invaded mission. Instead, they’ll use three pre-made level 30 characters, each of whom has one of the game’s three max-level specializations.

The Division 2’s three max-level specializations are Survivalist, Sharpshooter, and Demolitionist. Each specialization is equipped with a powerful weapon type that’s unique to them. Survivalists use crossbows, Sharpshooters wield sniper rifles, and Demolitionists rock grenade launchers. Beta participants will get to test all three specializations to see which one they like the most.
