Hitman 2: How to Complete the Big Spender Mumbai Challenge

Big Spender is a Hitman 2 challenge which doesn’t require to you kill any targets. It does, however, require a bit of patience so make sure you’ve set some time aside to complete it. Also, in case the article title wasn’t clear enough, you’ll be heading to Mumbai for this challenge.

Hitman 2 Big Spender Setup

Completing the Big Spender challenge doesn’t require any specialized weaponry or tools. However, it does require that you equip both the lockpick and the Coin for your starting loadout. Once you’ve got the lockpick and Coin equipped you can star right at the default Mumbai starting location.

Big Spender Walkthrough

Completing the Big Spender challenge requires purchasing three different bolts of cloth from a Mumbai street vendor. Thanks to Agent 47’s patented “haggling technique” (you’ll see what I mean), you can purchase each bolt for two Coins. You only have three Coins to start with, though, so you’ll have to find another three first.

When the mission loads up, run straight ahead for a bit and look to your right for a tunnel you can go through. The tunnel should take you into an apartment building courtyard which you should go straight through. Keep going north, taking a slight left as you exit the courtyard to continue along the northern path. The path hooks around to the left and when you emerge in another courtyard, head to the right.

Hook around to the left to find a man with an opportunity prompt (the green symbol) standing near some staircases. Take the staircase leading up to the balcony above the man to find a locked green shop door. Use your lockpick on the door to enter the shop’s second floor. You’ll find two coins on the desk immediately to your left. Look on the inside wall adjacent to the door to find a green electrical panel. Use the panel twice (to ensure nobody else investigates it) and the shopkeeper will come to investigate it.

While the shopkeeper is investigating the panel, knock him out and hide his unconscious body in the nearby crate. When you knock him out, he’ll drop both his shop key and a third coin. Take both the key and coin and, if you want, put on his outfit as a disguise. Exit out the way you came and at the bottom of the staircase head around to the left. Straight ahead you’ll find the cloth-selling street merchant.

Now here’s where your patience will come in handy. The merchant goes through a process of offering each cloth bolt and then lowering the price when 47 doesn’t respond. When his price drops to two Coins, go ahead and accept to purchase one of the cloth bolts. Repeat the process two more times and the Big Spender challenge is finished.
