Hitman 2: How to Complete the Deadlier Art Santa Fortuna Assassination Challenge

Of the three targets you must eliminate in Hitman 2’s Santa Fortuna location, Rico Delgado can be the toughest. Delgado’s default location is in the middle of his walled-off compound surrounded by armed guards with itchy trigger fingers. You can lure Delgado out of his compound, but not if you want to complete the ‘Deadlier Art’ challenge. Thankfully, as this guide shows, completing the challenge is a surprisingly straightforward affair.

Deadlier Art Setup

You don’t need to unlock any special items or starting locations for the Deadlier Art challenge. However, make sure that your default loadout includes a suppressed pistol, the lockpick, and the Coin. You can also start the Santa Fortuna mission at the default bus stop location.

Deadlier Art Walkthrough

When the mission begins, run straight ahead up to the front entrance of Delgado’s compound. If you want to boost your score a bit, shoot out the two cameras with your suppressed pistol. Next, head around the right perimeter of the compound wall to find a pipe you can scale. The pipe leads up to a small construction platform, and slightly to the right is a small shack. On the back of the shack is an air conditioner unit and another camera. Stand back a little ways and shoot out the camera, then deactivate the air conditioner. A guard will come to investigate the air conditioner so hide nearby and, when his back is turned, subdue him.

Hide the guard’s body in the nearby dumpster and take his outfit. Then, run around towards the back of the mansion and use your lockpick to enter the back door. There’s also an open window you can climb through but the nearby maid might spot you. Inside the mansion, proceed to the main foyer with the double staircase. Make sure you avoid any guards with a white dot over their head since they’ll see through your disguise.

Assassinating Rico Delgado

If you look up in the foyer, you’ll see a larger deadly-looking hanging art installation. Delgado is patrolling around his mansion, but the problem is that his route doesn’t take him under the art installation. This is where your Coin comes into play. Wait until Delgado is approaching the foyer and then place (don’t throw) a Coin in the center of the floor.

Hitman 2's art is as deadly as Agent 47.

Head upstairs to the northern side of the foyer to find the art installation’s release switch. When Delgado sees the Coin and goes to pick it up, release the art installation (you can also shoot it). The art installation will fall on Delgado, killing him and fulfilling the Deadlier Art challenge criteria.
