How to Play Madden 20 Solo Battles: Limited-Time House Rules Event For Ultimate Legends Rewards

For this week’s Madden 20 Solo Battles, they’ve changed things up as it’s a limited-time House Rules event. What this means is instead of playing standard Solo Battles matchups against different Ultimate Teams, gamers will have unique rules for scoring. In addition, the rewards now include Ultimate Legends players for different points levels. Here are more details on how it all works.

How the Madden 20 Solo Battles: Limited-Time House Rules works

To access Solo Battles, head into Ultimate Team mode. On the top menu, scroll to the “Play” option. Choose “Solo Battles” to get to the matchups. You’ll most likely see a “Featured Opponent” and can scroll to see the other opponents as well as the Rewards. You’ll need to choose a team to play against, and then the difficulty level you want to play on. Those levels bring points, which add up to get rewards at the end of the week.

Scoring is different for this limited-time House Rules event. In typical Madden 20 Solo Battles games, it’s a standard game involving three or four-minute quarters with normal NFL scoring rules (touchdowns are six points). Under this limited-time House Rules event, they’ve changed how scoring works. Any normal offensive touchdown is worth four points. Any offensive 20-yard touchdown is now worth 11 points.

Gamers can choose an opponent and then pick a difficulty level for the game. Each difficulty level is worth a different Battle Score. For example, the Rookie level is worth 5,830, Pro Level is 7,080, Veteran is 9,100, and so forth. The highest level is Legend which is worth 21,600 points. There are also additional points based on the final score.

You must complete a game to get Battle Score points. Quitting a game (or getting disconnected somehow) ends up as a “Do Not Finish” worth zero points.

Every few days, the opponents refresh, so gamers get an opportunity to rack up a lot of points with a total of about 13 different opponents over the course of the week. The first group of opponents arrives on Monday at 10:30 a.m. Eastern Time. The second group comes Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. ET and the final group is on Friday at 10:30 a.m. Eastern Time.

An important tip: Make sure to get through at least that first group of opponents before Friday, or you’ll lose out on some of the available opponents when you refresh.

Basically, gamers have until Monday morning to complete their games. Rewards typically arrive around 10:30 a.m. ET on Mondays.

Rewards includes Ultimate Legends players

In past weeks, the Madden 20 Solo Battles featured a rewards system based on how many total points a gamer achieved after winning their games. With each points level were certain rewards including Madden 20 Coins, Midfield and/or Hail Mary Packs, and Trophies. This week there are some new levels that bring Ultimate Legends player cards as rewards.

Those points levels are as follows (per MUTHEAD):

HR:Legend – 300,000 Battle Score, 94 OVR Ultimate Legend + Legend Rewards
HR:MVP – 210,000 Battle Score, 92 OVR Ultimate Legend + MVP Rewards
HR:Star – 140,000 Battle Score, 88 OVR Ultimate Legend + Star Rewards
HR:Veteran – 90,000 Battle Score, 87 OVR Ultimate Legend + Veteran Rewards
HR:Pro – 50,000 Battle Score, 86 OVR Ultimate Legend + Pro Rewards

Those levels bring additional rewards as mentioned including Coins, Trophies, and Packs. In addition, there are also Weekend League entries available for the House Rules event rewards starting at the MVP level.

This Madden 20 Solo Battles event lasts for one week, so it’s best to take advantage while it lasts. It’s another way to add a free high-rated player card to your Ultimate Team roster.
