Kingdom Hearts VR Experience Delayed Again, Still Coming Soon

The Kingdom Hearts VR Experience is now being delayed once again. There is a lot of great Kingdom Hearts 3-related content for players to look forward to right now like the Deluxe Edition and pre-order bonuses. This also includes the VR Experience. Unfortunately, players will have to wait a little bit longer to enjoy it. It is only currently available for PlayStation VR.

The new Kingdom Hearts VR Experience release date is January 23, 2019. However, it is worth noting that this is the Japanese release date and Square Enix in North America hasn’t confirmed the release date here just yet. As such, we recommend that you wait to find out if this release will be the same here but we don’t see why it wouldn’t be.

Kingdom Hearts VR Experience Release Details

Kingdom Hearts VR Experience delayed ps vr

For those who don’t know, the Kingdom Hearts VR Experience is a special virtual reality experience based on the series. It will, apparently, be a way to recap the entire series in virtual reality. In addition, you will be able to listen to music from the franchise while in the experience. Currently, it is only set to release for PlayStation VR.

This is no surprise given that we don’t even have a PC platform announcement for Kingdom Hearts 3. The Kingdom Hearts VR Experience was originally announced in September of last year. But it was delayed from its original release date from December to January 18. Thankfully, this second delay is only five days later than it was going to be before.

That puts the Kingdom Hearts VR Experience at still releasing before Kingdom Hearts 3. Kingdom Hearts 3 releases in Japan on January 25, 2019, and January 29 here. As such, if we do have to wait a little longer for the VR experience than Japan, we don’t expect it to be much. Make sure to stay tuned for any future info.
