Latest Humble Bundle Offers A Bunch of Scary Games For a Not-So-Scary Price

Halloween may still be several months away, but Humble Bundle is offering buyers a chance to get in on the spooky spirit early by purchasing the new Humble Spooky Horror Bundle 2018.

As is the case with most Humble Bundle offerings, the Spooky Horror Bundle is divided into several payment tiers, with more expensive tiers offering access to more games. Since the most expensive tier is $15 and the bundle contains nine games in total, it’s still a great value for buyers who want to fill out their horror-themed PC game catalog a bit.

A bunch of scary games can be yours for not a lot of green.

The bulk of the Spooky Horror Bundle can be had for a mere $1, granting access to four games in total: White Noise 2, Layers of Fear, and both How to Survive and its more recent sequel How to Survive 2. If you up your payment pledge to the aggregated user average, which as of this writing is sitting at about $8, you’ll get all four of the $1 pledge games plus an additional three titles: Detention, Yamawari: Night Alone, and BioShock Remastered.

Finally, if you pay a minimum of $15, you’ll get all of the previously mentioned games plus what are undoubtedly the two most well-known asymetrical horror multiplayer games: Dead by Daylight and Friday the 13th: The Game. Of course, it should be noted that Friday the 13th developer Gun Media recently halted all future content development for the game due to an ongoing legal dispute involving the first Friday the 13th Film, so the mileage you get out of that title might not extend very far.

As for the other games, they seem like a decent mix of different horror fare, covering familiar genres such as first-person horror, single-player, and multiplayer. Of course, if you like Dead by Daylight, you can also grab it for free over on PlayStation 4 as part of this month’s PlayStation Plus offerings. Dead by Daylight developer Behavior Interactive also recently launched a new game called Deathgarden which, while having a similar premise, trades out the horror slasher vibe for more of a futuristic sci-fi motif.
