Latest NHL 19 Gameplay Tuner & Roster Updates Arrive For PS4, Xbox One

As of Thursday (Oct. 11), EA Sports unveiled their latest NHL 19 gameplay tuner notes. They include a number of tweaks and fixes within how the game operates. Unfortunately, fans were none too happy with some of the updates. However, there are also about nine new players added to various NHL and CHL rosters in the game.

NHL 19 Gameplay Tuner updates

EA rolled out their latest tuner notes on Thursday via Twitter and their website. Among the notable changes are an improvement of AI for goalie puck tracking movements, less chance of delay of game penalties in World of Chel for AI skaters hitting the puck over the glass, and increased success rate in keeping the puck during deke moves. Still, plenty of people feel the gameplay needs a lot of work done.

After the new update, there are still frustrated comments on the NHL 19 tweet regarding the state of gameplay. Apparently, a number of community members would love for NHL 19 to use the beta gameplay instead of its current one.

In particular, there are gamers who feel skating animation needs to match that of the beta because in the current version because everyone seems to skate the same speed. That’s definitely not true in the actual NHL game when there are skilled speed skaters on the ice like Conor McDavid. One can only hope that EA and the game developers are paying attention to the community.

NHL 19 Roster Update adds rookies, top prospects

Along with the NHL 19 gameplay tuning, there are also some notable roster updates available in the game. There are six rookies who join the NHL rosters they are part of in the real-life league. They include the Buffalo Sabres’ Rasmus Dahlin, Vancouver Canucks’ Elias Pettersson, Carolina Hurricanes’ Andrei Svechnikov, Calgary Flames’ Brady Tkachuk, Toronto Maple Leafs‘ Igor Ozhiganov, and Arizona Coyotes’ Ilya Lyubushkin.

In addition to those rookies, the latest update brings three top prospects to their respective CHL rosters in the game. Sudbury Wolves center Quinton Byfield, Saginaw Spirit center Cole Perfetti, and Erie Otters defenseman Jamie Drysdale are all available now. These players could be among top prospects for the 2020 NHL Entry Draft.

To get these latest roster updates, gamers need to have their PS4 or Xbox One connected to the internet. At the game’s first menu, choose the “Roster” option and then “Active Rosters.” Finally, choose the latest roster update (by recent date/time) and download it.

The NHL 19 game is currently available for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One video game platforms.
