Fortnite Battle Royale players have only three more weeks left until season 5 ends. Week 8 of the season is supposed to start on Thursday, August 30, and the challenges for this week have already been leaked online. Keep in mind that you don’t need to complete these challenges to unlock the Road Trip skin if you have already completed seven of them.
Once again, Epic Games will release weekly challenges split into two categories. Free players will be able to access three different challenges, which yield 20 Battle Stars in total, while Battle Pass users will be able to access all of them. Completing all seven challenges will reward players with 50 Battle Stars and 8,000 Season XP.
Free challenges
The first free challenge will require players to place 10 traps, as simple as that. There is no need for an elimination, and the hardest part of this challenge will be obtaining 10 straps.
The second challenge will once again send Fortnite Battle Royale players to Wailing Woods. They will be tasked with opening seven chests in this area, and this could be a tough challenge. There are not many chests in place, which is what will be the biggest problem for some players.
The final free challenge will be about shotguns as players will have to eliminate four opponents with these weapons.
Battle Pass challenges
The first challenge in this category will have players using their pickaxe to damage enemies. Players will have to deal 250 damage to complete this challenge, which can be easily done while an enemy is knocked down. The second challenge will be about rifts as players will have to use a rift at 10 different spawn locations to complete it.
The treasure map challenge will send players to look for a secret Battle Star between three oversized seats, while the final task will be to eliminate opponents at different locations.
