As Apex Legends Season 4 draws to a close, Respawn has given fans their first glimpse of what’s to come in Season 5. More specifically, the studio has released an all-new episode of Stories From the Outlands, their character cinematic series, revealing the identity of the next Legend coming to the game; Loba Andrade, a master thief with a hatred of Revenant.
Apex Legends Season 5: Loba Andrade
“Legacy of a Thief,” the new episode of Stories From the Outlands, confirms what many have suspected for some time; that Loba is the next Legend coming to Apex Legends. The new character’s identity was leaked by data-mining during the course of Season 4, although it is only now that her identity has been confirmed by Respawn. The new cinematic also confirms a fan theory; that Loba is the daughter of the man murdered by Revenant during his own Stories From the Outlands episode.
Apex Legends Season 5, entitled ‘Fortune’s Favour,’ is due to start on the 12th of May. On that day, Loba will arrive in the game as a new playable character, along with a new Battle Pass, a new Ranked Series, and an all-new feature; Season Quests. Details for exactly what these Quests are have yet to be revealed by Respawn. Their addition appears to be in place of a new weapon, as this will be the first Apex Legends Season which doesn’t add a new weapon to the game.
Although the new Stories From the Outlands trailer doesn’t give players a look at what Loba will be like in-game, it does drop hints; her use of teleportation technology, for instance. However, with Season 5 less than two weeks’ away from release, players will likely get more clear details about Loba very soon. Indeed, a Season 5 gameplay trailer is likely to release at some point in the next week.
