Madden 19 November Title Update Includes Retro Cleats, Playbooks, Franchise, & MUT Updates

As of Tuesday (Nov. 20), EA Sports released their Madden 19 November title update. The latest changes address a variety of aspects in the game including Ultimate Team, Franchise mode, and playbooks. There are still some requests the community is making, but these latest changes show the development team is still committed to improving the game. Here is a rundown on the key changes that gamers will see in Madden 19 for the new update.

Madden 19 November Title Update for Gameplay

There were plenty of updates made throughout Madden 19 in this latest patch update. However, Madden 19 gameplay changes had the most to speak of. For example, this update includes a first in terms of a “post-launch update to Playbooks.” Never in the history of the game, has the Madden Dev team been able to support playbacks in their Title Updates. See information about the previous Madden 19 update here.

In addition, there are gameplay improvements for Zone Coverage and Pass Blocking. These updates help to address specific logic used when defending against various routes. They’ll also help prevent exploiting of the Nickel 3-3-5 Odd formation blitzes among other types of setups. Many gamers will be happy to see that exploits involving Kickoffs have also been resolved.

Madden 19 November Title Update: MUT, Franchise improvements

There were a few key updates within both Franchise and Madden Ultimate Team (MUT) aspects of the game. Franchise mode now has various menu improvements, while SuperSim includes improvements for time management. The dev team also made fixes for the draft clock display during the draft and various “rare freezes” in the game. They also addressed stability issues gamers might see the week after the draft.

In Madden Ultimate Team, gamers can now play MUT Squads as a duo. The developers noted that when using the Duo aspect, selecting an Offensive and Defensive Captain will be necessary. The Head Coach responsibilities are controlled by the Defensive Captain.

Also in MUT, the dev team fixed the logic used for giving out Super Bowl MVP and for CPU drafting a first-round running back. These were just some of the highlights as the Madden 19 patch notes. For more detailed notes, visit the EA Sports forum here.

Madden 19 November Title Update: Retro Cleats, Gamers React

There are some visual changes as well. In particular, NFL players representing Jordan Brand were wearing Air Jordan XI Concord footwear this year. They include Michael Thomas, Jalen Ramsey, and Alshon Jeffrey (below). These Player Exclusive Retro cleats are now updated for the visuals in Madden 19.

Just looking through Twitter comments on the latest Madden 19 patch update, many gamers seem pleased with the improvements. In particular the 3-3-5 odd blitzing and “scum kicks” improvements have been well received. There are still some issues with regards to gameplay and visuals.

These relate to being able to control offensive linemen better for strategy, as well as adding new face scans. Most likely, the addition of new graphics (faces) to the game will arrive in a future tuning update. Still, the game seems to have received some great updates this time around that gamers are enthusiastic about.

Gamers can play the Madden 19 game on Sony’s PlayStation 4 and Microsoft’s Xbox One where available.
