Madden 19 Trade Brings Joe Flacco To Denver Broncos, Case Keenum May Join New Roster Next

The big news around the NFL on Wednesday (Feb. 13) involves a trade which sent longtime Baltimore Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco to the Denver Broncos. That move surprised some people and made sense to others, as it seems to signal Baltimore is sticking with their guy Lamar Jackson. Meanwhile, the Broncos will see how they fare with a veteran quarterback if that’s their move. A Madden 19 trade preview shows off Flacco’s debut in his new jersey.

Madden 19 trade previews Joe Flacco to Broncos

The NFL trade isn’t official yet, as they have a month until deals can be made. However, it’s been reported by ESPN that the two teams agreed “in principle” to a trade. The Ravens will get a midround draft pick, according to ESPN’s sources. With a game like Madden, gamers can try players out on different teams whenever they choose. A new Madden 19 trade preview screenshot gives fans a look at Flacco in the Broncos jersey as gamers are sure to be testing the move.

Joe Flacco participated in nine of the Broncos’ 16 games for the NFL season. His season consisted of 2,465 yards and 12 touchdowns along with six interceptions. He also led the team to a Super Bowl and six playoff appearances as their QB.

However, the team moved on from the former Super Bowl MVP in favor of their new younger star, Lamar Jackson. Jackson was on the field as the team made it into the postseason and ultimately lost their Wild Card game to the Los Angeles Chargers.

Madden 19 trade: Flacco, Jackson, Keenum ratings

Jackson was a 77 ahead of the season in Madden player ratings. However, he improved over the course of the season into the playoffs. His Madden 19 ratings peaked at 81 in the Wild Card game. Jackson was back down to an 80 as of the rounds after that. He boasts a 94 Speed, 95 Accuracy, and 95 Agility. He seems to be the guy that Baltimore will move forward with as they hope for continued growth. While he may not be a Patrick Mahomes style player, he seems fully capable of being the team’s leader going forth.

Joe Flacco started out with a 79 overall at Madden 19’s launch. As the season moved forward he got up as high as an 81 as well, keeping that from Week 5 through Week 8. However, the drop-off came after that and ultimately Flacco was back to a 78 by season’s end.

Denver’s starting QB throughout the season was Case Keenum. He tallied 3,890 passing yards and 18 touchdowns thrown for the season. He tied for 30th in interceptions, so it makes the addition of Flacco intriguing. However, looking over his Madden 19 ratings also shows a drop off for Keenum. He started at game’s launch with an 81 overall, but by season’s end was a 76. Rumors (via Ian Rapoport) suggest Keenum will be traded or released due to his salary.

That said, Denver Broncos fans with Madden 19 will be testing out their new quarterback ahead of the trade, to see how he might fare. The team also holds the No. 10 pick in the NFL Draft, so it will be interesting to see if they’ll package Case Keenum in a deal.
