Madden 19 Ultimate Team MVP Card Arrives For Lamar Jackson, New House Rules In Effect

In the NFL, there is only one Most Valuable Player each season, but in the Madden game, there are MVPs for each team. Many of the squads feature more than one for Madden Ultimate Team. Over the past month or so, the MUT crew has revealed MVPs to represent each and every NFL roster. They’ve included offensive stars like Ezekiel Elliott or Brandin Cooks and defensive juggernauts such as Khalil Mack. On Wednesday (Mar. 20) they teased another MVP is on the way for the Baltimore Ravens. In addition, there are some new House Rules to play with.

New Lamar Jackson Madden 19 Ultimate Team MVP card

Just recently, we showed details for the six new Madden 19 Team MVP cards including Ezekiel Elliott, Alvin Kamara, and Trey Flowers. On Wednesday, they teased that another card is set to drop on Thursday (Mar. 21). Just in time for the start of the spring season, Ultimate Team gamers will now have a new Lamar Jackson card to obtain in the game. Here’s a look at the brand new player card sporting a 97 OVR.

Some might call it a successful season for Jackson and the Ravens, as their new young quarterback helped lead them to the postseason. The Ravens were one and done, although Jackson showed a flash of his talents in a late-game touchdown drive. He also became the team’s trusted quarterback in favor of veteran Joe Flacco.

For his rookie season, Lamar Jackson tallied 1,201 yards and six touchdowns on 99-for-170 completions. Jackson also had five rushing touchdowns and 695 yards on the ground due to being a highly mobile QB. With that said, his 97 OVR card will give MUT rosters a guy with key attributes such as 96 Short Throw Accuracy, 96 Throw on the Run, and a 96 Speed. He’ll officially be available in Ultimate Team mode on Thursday, so keep an eye out.

New Madden 19 House Rules are in effect

As of March 19, Madden 19 Ultimate Team unveiled some new House Rules to try out. The latest are called “Going for the Gold” and involve two-point conversions. Those plays are usually worth two points after a touchdown in the NFL. They’re often used by teams trying to tie things or strategically put their lead further out of reach in the late stages of a game.

As with other House Rules, Madden has their own spin on the two-point conversion. They’ll now be worth four times as many points if you can successfully achieve them. So that’s eight points added to your total. Talk about going for gold! These latest rules are in effect for a limited time, so it’s best to use them in head-to-head competition and take advantage while they last!
