Madden 20 Ratings Update: Christian McCaffrey on 99 Club Watch as Barkley & OBJ Drop

A new Madden 20 ratings update was revealed on Thursday, with several key players enjoying upgrades. Christian McCaffrey, who has displayed an MVP-like season early on, is also on 99 Club watch. However, two other star players, both with ties to the New York Giants at some point, were downgraded. Let’s take a look at some of the risers and fallers in the new ratings this week.

McCaffrey, Derrick Henry lead Madden 20 ratings update news

Christian McCaffrey, also known as “Run CMC,” is the big story in the latest Madden 20 ratings update. On Thursday (Nov. 14), they officially revealed that McCaffrey is on 99 Club watch. The Carolina Panthers have benefited from their new star player as Cam Newton’s injury hindered the team early on.

In nine games this season, McCaffrey has racked up 989 yards and 11 rushing touchdowns on 185 carries. He’s achieved another 396 yards and three touchdowns receiving as well to give his team a major boost. As a result, he’s moved up again in the Madden 20 ratings to become a 98, which is extremely close to that exclusive 99 Club.

Cover star Patrick Mahomes joined the club this season, so will McCaffrey be next? Also at the 98 OVR spot are Patriots QB Tom Brady and Falcons WR Julio Jones, both of whom could enter the club this season.

Fellow running back Derrick Henry of the Tennessee Titans also moved up this week. The Madden 20 Team of the Week representative is now an 84 overall in the game. That’s not anywhere near McCaffrey, but still, a good deal for the Titans star as they continue a push towards the postseason. Henry had 188 yards on 23 carries as well as that spectacular 68-yard TD run to help upset the Chiefs this past weekend.

Saquon Barkley, Odell Beckham Jr. numbers drop

While McCaffrey and Henry are on the rise, that’s not the case for Saquon Barkley in his sophomore season. After a successful rookie campaign with the New York Giants, Barkley is dealing with an injury which has impacted his second season. He made his return to the field against the New York Jets but only managed one yard on 13 carries. Due to that, he moves down a point to an 89 OVR in the new Madden 20 ratings.

Former New York Giants receiver Odell Beckham Jr. also moved down. The Cleveland Browns WR had 12 targets via quarterback Baker Mayfield, but only five receptions for just 57 yards all game versus Buffalo. So the Madden 20 ratings adjustors had to adjust accordingly. OBJ moves down by two points this week to become a 93 overall after previously being speculated amongst contenders for the 99 Club.

Meanwhile, Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans moved up to a 90 OVR in the game. His 924 receiving yards has him in second place for that stats category this season. Check out the full Madden 20 ratings database here.
