Madden 21 Legends Group 4 Brings Tony Gonzalez, John Lynch to MUT

Each weekend, EA brings a new group of Madden 21 Legends into Ultimate Team mode. These are players who excelled on the gridiron during their careers, typically providing MUT rosters with a boost in offense and defense. For the latest group, tight end Tony Gonzalez leads the way along with safety John Lynch. Here are the latest details on the new release.

Gonzalez, Lynch featured in Madden 21 Legends Group 4

The Madden 21 Legends kicked off with the first eight players released after the game’s launch. Each weekend has brought us two or three more players. Last week’s Madden 21 Legends included Bo Jackson and Junior Seau to give gamers some solid options for their MUT squads.

With Group 4 the theme continues as Tony Gonzalez and John Lynch are part of the mix. Each player gets a 91 overall Boss Legends card which can be acquired from an Exchange set of five non-Boss Legends cards.

Gonzalez gets key attributes including 91 Catching, 91 Catch in Traffic, 91 Short Route Run, 89 Spectacular catch, and 88 Medium Route. Lynch features 92 Power, 91 Play Recognition, 90 Pursuit, 90 Tackling, 88 Zone Coverage, 88 Acceleration, and 87 Speed.

MUT Challenges, Power Ups, and card options

The new Madden 21 Legends Group 4 will have a series of Challenges in Ultimate Team mode. Gamers can complete these for Coins and to earn the Gonzalez and Lynch Power Up cards.

As mentioned, to get their Boss Legends cards requires putting together a set of their non-Boss cards. Last week, those were the five different 82 through 88 rated cards for each player. Cards are available through packs in the Store or at the Auction House.

That also means it’s possible to buy the Boss Legends cards for either player at the Madden Auction House. However, some of these are carrying steep prices. We’ve seen the cards for Bo and Seau up near or over the one million Coins level.

There is also a Legends Token Challenges available weekly. A group of them expired as of Saturday, Sept. 12 at 10:15 a.m. Eastern Time, but more will be on the way. With these Tokens, gamers will be able to put together a set of the Tokens to exchange for a Boss Legends card “down the road.”
