MLB The Show 19 Gameplay Teaser Video Arrives, Trailer Release Date

Yesterday, MLB The Show took to Twitter to announce something big was on the horizon. An answer to the Bryce Harper saga? News of a special feature coming to the new MLB The Show 19? One last final out of the blue pre-order special that is so good fans couldn’t pass it up?

Actually, it was none of those. It was a bit of good-hearted humor towards one of the longest lasting veterans in the game, along with a long-awaited important release date.

Bartolo Colon, Cologne?

The big news is that the ageless Bartolo Colon is getting his own fragrance! Okay, that isn’t exactly it, but the guys who put together MLB The Show’s promos did one heck of a job with this quick video they released on Twitter Tuesday afternoon.

The video released on The Show’s official Twitter page is very Calvin Klein, Christian Dior-ish. In fact, it is so good, you believe that it’s a real cologne commercial for hardcore baseball fans.

While it is admittingly a spoof, it does carry one important piece of information right at the end – the official release date for the MLB The Show 19 trailer.

Release date set

Gamers still don’t know what uniform Bryce Harper will don when The Show hits the open market on March 26, but at least we now know a date for the trailer.

Bartolo Colon MLB The Show

February 5 is the big day for fans of MLB The Show as we can finally see what lies ahead for the latest version of popular PlayStation game.

Yankee fans had to love the 2018 trailer as it starts with cover athlete Aaron Judge slowly walking to the plate staring down the pitcher and ends with Babe Ruth calling his historic home run shot. We can only speculate what this year will bring, especially considering 2019 cover athlete Bryce Harper is still a free agent.
