More Madden 20 Superstars Arrive Including Todd Gurley, Odell Beckham Jr.

Friday, August 9 brought the Madden 20 Superstars back into the spotlight, much to the delight of Ultimate Team fans. They’re some of the game’s best all-around stars, hence the “Superstars” title for this program. So guys like Todd Gurley II, Odell Beckham Jr., and Ben Roethlisberger are now featured. The difference between their player cards here and their regular in-game player is the abilities they bring to the field. With Madden 20 Superstars you’ll have unique abilities for each of theses players that they normally don’t have.

Todd Gurley, Odell Beckham Jr. amongst Madden 20 Superstars

During a EA Madden Twitch live stream earlier on Friday, they unveiled the newest group of 16 additional Madden 20 Superstars cards. In Madden 20, they have the Superstars and Superstar X-Factor Abilities. The Superstar abilities are always available for players during games, while X-Factor need to be unlocked by completing certain requirements (i.e. completing a certain number of passes or receptions).

We had the first four MUT Superstars revealed a week ago, and now we have 10 new ones. Leading the way was none other than Los Angeles Rams running back Todd Gurley. His Power Up Superstars card includes a 90 OVR with 89 Break Tackle, 88 Carrying ,88 Agility, 86 Elusiveness, and an 85 Speed amongst his key Attributes.

Gurley’s player in the game has certain abilities, but his Superstars player card brings different ones. So Gurley has First One Free which is the ability that Odell Beckham Jr. and Melvin Gordon have. He also has Pin and Poke, which gives stronger blocking on certain plays. Finally, the Gurley Madden 20 Superstars card has Backfield Mismatch which is better routes and catching from out of the backfield.

Another example is Luke Kuechly who has Superstar abilities that safeties have in-game: Zone Hawk and Pick Artist. Kuechly is also a 90 OVR with 92 Play Recognition, 90 Tackle and 87 Hit Power. There is the less-than-desirable 79 Speed attribute. That’s something gamers can already get with team captain Ryan Shazier if they use that card on Ultimate Team.
