NBA 2K19 MyTeam Brings Kobe Bryant Packs, Diamond Player Cards, Unlimited Tournament Video Stream

With the NBA All-Star Game 2019 going on this week, there’s plenty going on as far as NBA 2K19 MyTeam. The latest drop involves one of the greatest All-Star players of all-time, Kobe Bryant of the Los Angeles Lakers. MyTeam not only offers special Kobe items but other players as well. In addition, the NBA 2K19 MyTeam Unlimited Tournament is ready to tip off from Charlotte, North Carolina.

NBA 2K19 MyTeam Presents Kobe Bryant Day

Thursday, February 14 isn’t only Valentine’s Day, but in NBA 2K19 MyTeam it’s also “Kobe Day.” Kobe Bryant has ties to not only the All-Star Game, but also to the Charlotte Hornets. They originally drafted him as the No. 13 pick back in 1996 before trading him to the Lakers for Vlade Divac.

In hindsight, it was one of the most lopsided trades in NBA history as Bryant achieved 18 All-Star Game appearances and five NBA Championships during his career. In honor of Kobe’s greatness, NBA 2K19 MyTeam is dropping special Kobe packs in the game. There’s also a new 97-rated Kobe Pink Diamond card for MyTeam.

Fellow Lakers great Magic Johnson also receives a 98 overall Pink Diamond card. In addition, other cards dropped as there’s a 95-rated Diamond Damian Lillard, 92-rated Amethyst Robert Horry, and several other special cards now available in the game’s packs.

NBA 2K19 MyTeam Unlimited Tournament

Gamers SkippTooMyLou and TurnUpDefense will go head-to-head on the sticks as the winners of the PS4 and Xbox One sides of the tournament. The NBA 2K crew showed off a promotional video ahead of tonight’s grand finale.

While Kobe Bryant isn’t part of their lineup, Basketball Hall of Famer Michael Jordan is. On Friday, there’s an NBA 2K Playgrounds 2 All-Star Throwdown that takes place as part of eLeague action, with a live stream set to go down from Charlotte as well. It will feature legendary All-Star Shaquille O’Neal, Baron Davis, and four of the current NBA players as part of the competition.
