NBA 2K19 MyTeam Cards Drop for Jimmy Butler, Karl-Anthony Towns, & Other Star Players

Based on some impressive performances, there are some new NBA 2K19 MyTeam cards now available. They include a number of NBA players who came through in victories for their teams this past weekend. Among them are veteran All-Star Dwyane Wade, Minnesota Timberwolves big man Karl Anthony Towns, and Philadelphia 76ers star Jimmy Butler. Here’s a look at which NBA stars have new MyTeam cards and what they’ve done to deserve them.

New NBA 2K19 MyTeam cards for Butler, Towns

Since his arrival to the City of Brotherly Love, Jimmy Butler has been delivering great results. That’s included two game-winning shots, with the most recent taking place this weekend. Butler set up in pretty much the same spot behind the three-point line as his previous winning shot. That shot was just over a week before the latest. A comparison video below shows both of Butler’s game-winners.

His three-pointer in the final seconds this past Saturday helped the Sixers defeat the Brooklyn Nets 127-125. He’d finish the night with 34 points, 12 rebounds, and as the hero in a victory. It’s clear that Butler has been a major boost for this team in the East and for the team in NBA 2K19. Based on all that, Butler is rewarded with an Amethyst MyTeam Card in the game.

Since Butler’s departure from Minnesota, Karl-Anthony Towns has become the leader for the Timberwolves. Towns is currently averaging a double-double with 20.8 points and 12.2 rebounds per contest. On Saturday, he had a monstrous performance against the Chicago Bulls with 35 points scored and a whopping 22 rebounds collected. That resulted in 2K giving him a Diamond card. It’s available until Thursday (Nov. 29) at 2 p.m. Pacific Time (5 p.m. Eastern Time).

Other NBA 2K19 MyTeam cards include D-Wade, Kyle Lowry

There are more NBA 2K19 MyTeam cards to be had. They include Miami Heat star Dwyane Wade and Toronto Raptors’ assist leader Kyle Lowry. D-Wade had one of those “turn back the clock” type performances, much like Derrick Rose did a few weeks ago. Wade went off for 35 points this past Sunday, which 2K rewarded gamers with. There’s now a Wade Ruby MyTeam card available.

As for Kyle Lowry, he’s not just leading the Raptors with his helping hand, but he leads the league. Lowry is averaging 10.4 assists per game, as the Raptors continue to contend in the Eastern Conference. 2K now has an Amethyst card in honor of Lowry’s triple-double last Wednesday (21 points, 12 rebounds, seven assists).

Other players receiving NBA 2K19 MyTeam cards include the Rockets’ Clint Capela for his 20-20 game last Friday and Nets’ D’Angelo Russell for scoring 38 points on Sunday. These cards are usually available for a limited time, so gamers will want to keep an eye out for them in the NBA 2K19 game.

If one were to predict who might qualify for upcoming NBA 2K19 cards, don’t be surprised if James Harden and Kevin Durant might qualify. The two All-Stars scored 54, and 49 points, respectively, on Monday night.
