With the 2018-19 NBA season winding down, plenty of star achievements and moments are taking place on the court. For example, the New York Knicks’ Mario Hezonja became a headlines hero for NYC and the NBA this weekend. In addition, two All-Star careers are nearing what appears to be their end for Dwyane Wade and Dirk Nowitzki. The new NBA 2K19 MyTeam cards not only celebrate the latest on-court performances for specific players, but there is also one special Moments Challenge available for Dirk.

NBA 2K19 MyTeam Cards: Mario Hezonja, Greek Freek, & more

On Tuesday (Mar. 19), a new batch of NBA 2K19 MyTeam cards arrived to celebrate recent on-court performances for current players. One of those players shouldn’t surprise too many people, as the New York Knicks’ Mario Hezonja made headlines this past Sunday. That’s because Hezonja shut down LeBron James with stellar defense on the final play of the game. By blocking LeBron’s final shot attempt, it secured the Knicks 124-123 victory over King James’ Lakers. It made Hezonja a hero again and earned him the 88 Ruby card in MyTeam.

Another player back with a Moments card is linked to Hezonja, and that’s Giannis Antetokounmpo. Giannis was posterized earlier this season in a highlight by the Knicks’ player. However, the Milwaukee Bucks’ big man put up quite the numbers in a loss to the Philadelphia 76ers, also this past Sunday. The Greek Freak’s final stat line included 52 points, 16 rebounds, seven assists, two steals, and a block. Unfortunately, his team fell short, losing 130-125, but this Bucks team looks like a tough one come playoffs time.

Either way, NBA 2K19 MyTeam celebrates Giannis’ performance with a limited-time Pink Diamond, available in packs until Thursday at 12 p.m. Pacific Time (9 p.m ET). All other cards will be in packs until Friday at 12 p.m. PT. Other advertised cards include a Pink Diamond Julius Randle and Ruby Elfrid Payton.

NBA 2K19 MyTeam Dirk Nowitzki Moments Challenge

As mentioned, this is the final season for Dallas Mavericks’ veteran Dirk Nowitzki, an example of a star who stuck with the franchise he began his career with. Dirk won a single championship with Dallas, as well as NBA MVP Award amongst his accolades. Just recently, he also made history. Headlines arrived when LeBron got past Michael Jordan to move into the No. 4 spot on the NBA all-time scoring list. Dirk has now moved into the No. 6 spot, passing Wilt Chamberlain.

In honor of that achievement, there is a new NBA 2K19 MyTeam Moments Challenge involving Dirk Nowitzki. If you’ve got any version card for Dirk on your current roster, you can head to the MyTeam Challenges and try the Dirk one. It involves scoring just eight points using Dirk against the New Orleans Pelicans. Win the game too, and you’ll earn 10 Tokens for your hard work.
