NBA 2K19 Patch 5 Update Fixes MyTeam, Neighborhood, & MyLeague Online Issues

As of Tuesday (Oct. 30), gamers are able to download the new NBA 2K19 patch 5 update for the popular basketball game. The latest update addresses various issues within the game involving the MyCareer, MyTeam, and MyCareer Online modes. Here are some of the major issues that were resolved within this new patch 5 update.

NBA 2K19 Patch 5 Update for MyTeam

According to Forbes’ Brian Mazique, new patch notes reflect a number of changes to various aspects of the game. The MyTeam mode within NBA 2K19 got a number of updates via the new patch. For example, head-to-head games used to rely on the global free throw settings that one of the users in the game had set. Now those settings are default free throw settings.

Also, gamers can now get a look at which of the Moments cards they can get in packs. These include Heat Check and League Moments packs. To view them, go to the Pack Market. View either Heat Check or League Moments packs. Press the Triangle button on PS4, or press the “Y” button on the Xbox One.

There was also a pause glitch affecting some of the Triple Threat Online games. That has reportedly been fixed via the new NBA 2K19 patch 5 update.

NBA 2K19 Patch 5 Update for Neighborhood Feature

The NBA 2K19 Neighborhood mode within the game has a number of fixes as well. Players used to see headphones removed once they went into Ante-Up or the Subway area, but that will no longer occur.

Also in relation to Ante-Up, gamers will see improved lighting in the daily spin room. The NBA 2K19 Virtual Currency (VC) amounts will properly update above the courts. For just Nintendo Switch, gamers will see they’ve fixed the look of the walls in the Ante-Up prize wheel room.

Other updates for Neighborhood included improving the “end-of game” experience for NBA 2K19 Dodgeball, the addition of proper crew uniforms within crew games, and resolution of the “disconnect” that was taking place in Court Conqueror.

NBA 2K19 Patch 5 Update for MyLeague, MyCareer

MyLeague Online now has improved server stability and performance. MyLeague Online head-to-head games will now use the gameplay-related rules that were voted on and changed during offseason League Meetings.

In addition to that, there was a glitch in which users were using Player DNA to import a player appearance. Gamers were able to see down the line, but this will now be “retroactively corrected.”

MyCareer received just a few updates. One of those involved stat combo performance incentives. Users were supposed to receive a certain amount of virtual currency for achieving certain statistical milestones. This wasn’t always the case, but now they will receive the proper amounts.

On the Nintendo Switch, there is a fix to the Ring Ceremony game. Players will now have their uniforms for this aspect of the game, whereas before they did not.

Those were just some of the improvements made within these modes, but gamers will surely be recognizing more issues that have been fixed. Once NBA 2K19 releases their official patch notes, gamers should see them in their notifications!
