Anthony Davis talks about NBA 2K20 game

Big man Anthony Davis has been helping the Lakers gain respectability this season, alongside LeBron James. 2K revealed Davis as the NBA 2K20 cover star ahead of the season. That was before he was officially a member of the Lakers. However, once it was official, they revealed an update to the cover to show him in his new jersey.

Davis sat down with NBA 2KTV’s Chris Manning for the new holiday special episode and mentioned that he recently started to like playing MyPlayer and running 5-on-5. Davis also admitted that his MyPlayer is the same size and build as he is, but that he gives him the skill set of a point guard for added fun. There’s also the interesting tidbit that his team in 2K20 was called the Warriors, but not due to any association with the NBA team.

Anthony Davis’ NBA season, 2K20 content

This season, the NBA 2K20 cover star has been amongst MVP contenders along with teammate LeBron James and the Bucks’ Giannis Antetokounmpo. Davis is averaging 27.7 points, 9.4 rebounds, and 3.3 assists per game. The Lakers are also considered one of the top contenders in the league, so Davis’ arrival is clearly giving them the boost they needed with LeBron.

Davis’ performances so far this season have also been rewarded with new items coming to NBA 2K20 MyTeam. So far, they’ve included a few Moments cards as well as a Heat Check card available for MyTeam rosters. One of those moments was due to his game with 50 points. That also brought a special Moments Challenge available for gamers to try out.

In addition to that, NBA 2K20 has allowed gamers an opportunity to try to beat Anthony Davis, virtually speaking, in their 2KTV Challenge. Many have tried, most have failed, which is to be expected whether facing Davis in the real game or video game.
